Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) MIMAROPA Regional Director Roland de Jesus is among the six most outstanding Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) field officials who were conferred the prestigious Environmental Awards for Governance and Leadership Excellence (EAGLE) Award during the agency’s 32nd founding anniversary celebration, June 14.

The said award, handed over by DENR Sec. Roy Cimatu, is in recognition of the exemplary leadership of the top DENR Regional Executive Director (RED), MGB and Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) Regional Directors, and Supervising and Implementing Community Environment and Natural Resources Officer (CENRO) and Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer (PENRO), as reflected in their respective offices’ major accomplishments and contributions in pursuing DENR’s goals and objectives for 2018.

RD de Jesus joins other EAGLE awardees: RED Arleigh Adorable (DENR Region X), RD Maria Victoria Cabrera (EMB-Cordillera Administrative Region), OIC-PENRO Merlyn Dumalahay (Implementing PENRO-Camiguin), PENRO Jose Elmer Bascos (Supervising PENRO-Batangas), and OIC-CENRO Francisco Arenas (CENRO-Bantay, Ilocos Sur).
