Technical personnel from the Mine Management Division of the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) MIMAROPA Region spearheaded the trainings on the Deputation of Environment and Natural Resources Officers (ENROs) for Mines in the provinces of Palawan and Occidental Mindoro, June 2 and 3, 2021, via the Zoom application.
The said undertaking seeks to minimize, if not totally eradicate, illegal mining and other related activities through the deputation of willing individuals as Deputy ENROS for Mines.
Among the topics discussed were basic mining laws, rules, and regulations as the basis in the apprehension/arrest, seizure and/or confiscation, as well as the filing of case/s to offender/s, if warranted.
Moreover, MGB MIMAROPA Region technical personnel tackled the proper procedure in the conduct of apprehension/arrest of offenders of mining laws, rules and regulations and the seizure and/or confiscation of the tools, conveyance and equipment used in the commission of the crime, and the filing of case/s in proper court.
Day 1 participants include enforcement staff and technical secretariat of the Provincial Mining Regulatory Board (PMRB) of Palawan. Meanwhile, enforcement staff, local government officials, and technical secretariat of the PMRB of Occidental Mindoro participated in Day 2.
