In line with the Bureau’s initiatives to promote its programs and activities for the protection of the environment and communities, the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) led the conduct of the virtual training on “Strengthening Communications to a Better Normal” via the Zoom platform, July 13-16, 2021.

Participated by information officers, economists, information technology officers, planning officers, and administrative personnel from the MGB Central and Regional Offices, this activity aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of participants in utilizing available technologies, tools, and platforms in the new normal.

During the four-day training, the participants delved into how they can maximize various productivity tools in managing virtual events, and editing graphics and video content for website and other online platforms.

Participating MGB personnel also learned how to prepare and deliver effective presentations, build online community and create engaging social media content, develop and manage a website, and address data gaps in statistical reports.
