Geologists and technical personnel from the Geosciences Division (GSD) of the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) gathered for the 2022 Virtual Geoscience Workshop, February 7-11, via Microsoft Teams.
Hosted by the Lands Geological Survey Division of the MGB Central Office, this five-day workshop themed “Moving Towards Efficient and Strategic Implementation of MGB Geoscience Programs” served as a venue for all GSD geologists and personnel of the Bureau to discuss the status of the major Geoscience Programs (Land Geohazards Assessment, Geologic Quadrangle Mapping, Groundwater Resource Assessment, and Mineral Reservation).
The sessions also aimed to provide resolutions and clarify and address emerging issues in the implementation of the various MGB Geoscience programs through the proposal of new schemes.
