MGB MIMAROPA Regional Director Glenn Marcelo C. Noble leads the two-day training-workshop on DENR SPMS.

To instill the importance of Strategic Performance Management System (SPMS) among its personnel, the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) MIMAROPA Region conducted a training on Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) SPMS, September 1-2, at the Bayview Park Hotel Manila.

MGB MIMAROPA Regional Director Glenn Marcelo C. Noble and the Finance and Administrative Division led the said training intended to cascade the metrics of the DENR SPMS which is composed of strategies, methods, and tools to ensure the fulfilment of the functions of the offices and its personnel, and to assess the accomplishments or performance as to effectiveness/quality, efficiency, and timeliness.

This undertaking also aimed to ensure a uniform system of performance evaluation where the Individual/Division Performance Commitment and Review will be a reliable instrument in creating linkage between the individual’s performance vis-à-vis the organizational goals/effectiveness.

Topics for the training-workshop include the SPMS concept and cycle, deadlines and related issuances, policy updates, identification of different means of verification, and proper application of the SPMS rating scale.
